Rep. Mathis called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to approve the minutes of the February 1, 2008 meeting.
        The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

H.B. 75    Inventory and Review of Commercial Activities (Rep. C. Frank)

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to replace H.B.75 with 1st Sub. H.B. 75. The motion passed
        
unanimously with Rep. Oda absent for the vote.
        
Rep. Frank explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Wiley moved to amend the bill as follows:

{   (c) The governor shall on or before July 1, 2008 change the appointments to the board

             166      to reflect the membership requirements of Subsection (1)(b).

The motion failed with Rep. Bowman, Rep. Fowlke, Rep. Hansen, and Rep. Hendrickson voting for the motion.

MOTION:    Rep. Hutchings moved to amend the bill as follows:

    (C)    would result in equal or better quality of a good or service; and  


The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Aagard explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Wiley moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Wiley moved to place the bill on the consent calendar. The motion passed              unanimously.

H.B. 292    Legislative Task Force to Study Radio Communication System in Utah (Rep. B. Dee)

Rep. Dee explained the bill to the committee, and distributed a handout.

MOTION:    Rep. Hutchings moved to pass the bill out favorably. The bill passed with Rep.

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fowlke absent for the vote.
