Rep. Mathis called the meeting to order at 4:24 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Donnelson moved to approve the minutes of the February 25, 2008 meeting.
        The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fowlke, Rep. Grover, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

H.B. 427    Hunter Education Requirement Exemption for Military Personnel (Rep. B. Winn)

Rep. Winn explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Aagard moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 2, Line 35 :    

             35          (b) been on active duty within the last

MOTION:    Rep. Wiley moved to amend the bill as follows:


1.    Page 2, Lines 30 through 35 :

S.B. 123    Filling Vacancies in the Senate (Sen. J. Hickman) (Rep. B. Ferry)

Sen. Hickman explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, and Rep. Hutchings absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Wiley moved to place the bill on the consent calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, and Rep. Hutchings absent for the vote.

1st Sub. H.B. 455    Amendments Relating to Certain Taxes Administered by or License Plates Issued by the State Tax Commission (Rep. S. Sandstrom)

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to delete in title and body 1st Sub. H.B. 455 and replace it with 2nd Sub. H.B. 455. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hutchings absent for the vote.

Rep. Sandstrom explained the bill to the committee and distributed a handout.

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
