Rep. Ray called the meeting to order at 3:21 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Dougall moved to approve the minutes of the February 1, 2008 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Harper absent for the vote.
Lisa-Michele Church, Executive Director, Department of Human Services, and Thomas Patterson, Executive Director, Department of Corrections, gave a presentation on the use of prevention activities in state programs. Committee members were encouraged to support programs that will give individuals the tools to live healthy and productive lives. Handouts were provided to committee members.
H.B. 131 Community Based Self Sufficiency Grants (Rep. J. Seelig)
MOTION: Rep. Dougall moved to amend the bill as follows:

(b) represent smaller community based approaches than the applicants described in Subsection (3)(c)(i) .
