Rep. Barrus called the meeting to order at 3:24 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Painter moved to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2008 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Andersen, Rep. Brown, Rep. Donnelson, Rep. Gibson and Rep. Riesen absent for the vote.

H.C.R. 8    Concurrent Resolution Supporting the Narrows Water Project in Central Utah (Rep. B. Winn)

Rep. Winn explained the resolution to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:    Claudia Jarrett, Sanpete County Commissioner
            Greg Soter, Sanpete County Water Conservancy District
            Richard Noble, Sanpete Water Conservancy District
            Leonard Blackham, Commissioner, Department of Agriculture and Food

Rep. Barrus relinquished the chair to Rep. Gibson.

MOTION:    Rep. Draxler moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barrus absent for the vote.        



S.B. 76    State Parks and Recreation Amendments (Sen. B. Goodfellow) (Rep. N. Hendrickson)

Sen. Goodfellow explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Donnelson, Rep. Noel, Rep. Sandstrom and Rep. Winn absent for the vote.

H.B. 203    Judicial Review of State Engineer's Decision (Rep. P. Painter)

MOTION:    Rep. Painter moved to replace H.B. 203 with 1st Sub. H.B. 203. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Donnelson, Rep. Noel, Rep. Sandstrom and Rep. Winn absent for the vote.

Rep. Painter explained the bill to the committee.
