Rep. Froerer opened the meeting at 8:08 a.m.

H.B. 310    Absentee Ballot Revisions (Rep. D. Aagard)

Rep. Aagard introduced and explained the bill to the Committee.

Spoke to the bill: Pat Beckstead, Elections Director

MOTION:    Rep. Gibson moved that the Committee recommend H.B. 310 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Allen, Rep. Seelig, Rep. Shurtliff, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

MOTION:    At the request of the bill sponsor Rep. Aagard, Rep. Gibson moved that H.B. 310 be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Allen, Rep. Seelig, Rep. Shurtliff, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

S.B. 12    Election Law Modifications (Sen. P. Knudson) (Rep. D. Aagard)

Sen. Knudson introduced and explained the bill to the Committee, with the help of Michael Cragun, Deputy Chief of Staff, Lt. Governor's Office.


MOTION:    Rep. Hunsaker moved that the Committee recommend S.B. 12 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Seelig, Rep. Shurtliff, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

S.B. 22    Timing of Ballot Items (Sen. P. Knudson) (Rep. E. Hutchings)

Sen. Knudson introduced and explained the bill to the Committee, with the help of Michael Cragun, Deputy Chief of Staff, Lt. Governor's Office.

MOTION:    Rep. Gibson moved that the Committee recommend S.B. 22 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Seelig and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

S.B. 23    Revision to Polling Requirements (Sen. P. Knudson) (Rep. E. Hutchings)

MOTION:    At the request of the bill sponsor Sen. Knudson, Rep. Dunnigan moved that S.B. 23 be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Dunnigan moved to adjourn the meeting. The vote was unanimous. Rep. Froerer adjourned the meeting at 8:30.
