Rep. Froerer opened the meeting at 9:05 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved that the Committee approve the minutes of February 5, 2008. The vote was unanimous, with Rep. Allen, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Gibson, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

2nd Sub. S.B. 32 Local Government Bonding Act - Public Hearings (Sen. S. Jenkins)

Sen. Jenkins introduced and explained the bill to the Committee.

Spoke to the bill: Roger Tew, Utah League of Cities and Towns

MOTION:    Rep. Shurtliff moved that the Committee recommend 2nd Sub. S.B. 32 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Gibson and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

H.B. 182    Deadline for Voting Precinct Designation (Rep. G. Hughes)

Rep. Hughes introduced and explained the bill to the Committee.

Spoke to the bill: Stan Lockhart, Chairman, Utah Republican Party



MOTION:    Rep. Dunnigan moved that the Committee recommend H.B. 182 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Gibson absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Allen, moved to place H.B. 182 on the Consent Calender. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Gibson absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to adjourn the meeting. The vote was unanimous and Rep. Froerer called the meeting to a close at 9:28
