Vice Chair Daw called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Menlove moved to approve the minutes of the January 29, 2005 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Cosgrove, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Morgan, and Rep. Walker absent for the vote.

Rep. Daw relinquished the chair to Chair Kiser.

H.B. 151    Motor Vehicle Revisions (Rep. S. Urquhart)

Rep. Urquhart introduced the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:    Ellis Alexander, Sergeant, Utah Highway Patrol

Spoke to the bill:    Mike Sontagg, Bear River Insurance

MOTION:    Rep. Holdaway moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed, with Rep. Kiser voting in opposition.



Vice Chair Daw resumed the chair.

H.B. 72    Motorcycle License and Endorsement Amendments (Rep. P. Neuenschwander)

MOTION:    Rep. Menlove moved to delete in title and body H.B. 72 and replace it with 1st Substitute H.B. 72. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Herrod moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
