1. H.B. 68 Educator Relicensure Initiative (R. Menlove)
Rep. Menlove presented the bill.
Steven H. Peterson, Associate and Executive Director, Utah School Boards Association, and Utah School Superintendents Association; Sidney Dixon - State Office of Education; and Debbie White, President, AFT Utah, spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to pass H.B. 68 out of committee with a favorable
recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to approve the minutes of January 29, 2008.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. H.B. 118 Veterans High School Diplomas (L. Hemingway)
Rep. Hemingway presented the bill.
SFC Dennis Tracey, Commander VFW 9413, Utah Veterans Association, spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to pass H.B. 118 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hillyard absent for the vote.
3. H.B. 245 Administration of Medication to Students Amendments (R. Lockhart)
Rep. Lockhart presented the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to pass H.B. 245 out of committee with a favorable

MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to adjourn the meeting.
