Sen. Knudson called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.

1.    S.B. 267 Local Government Authority Amendments (D. C. Buttars)

     MOTION: Sen. Butters moved to delete in title and body S.B. 267 and replace it with
    1st Substitute S.B. 267.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Sen. Buttars explained the bill, assisted by LaVar Christensen, Citizens for Principled
    Government.

    MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 2, Line 42 :    

             42          (c)
{   grand   }        grant       any other right or benefit.


    The motion passed unanimously.


    MOTION:
Sen. Goodfellow moved to amend the bill as follows:

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. McCoy absent for the vote.

Sen. Butters assumed the Chair.

2.    H.B. 265 Office of Recovery Services - Electronic Funds Transfer (P. Ray)

    Rep. Ray explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. McCoy absent for the vote.

     MOTION: At the request of the sponsor, Sen. Knudson moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. McCoy absent for the vote.

3.    H.J.R. 5 Joint Resolution Urging Support of Medicaid Long-term Care Funding
    of Home and Community-based Supports
(M. Noel)



    Rep. Noel explained the bill.
    
    Andrew Riggle, Disability Law Center, spoke in support of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. McCoy absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. McCoy absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn.

The motion passed unanimously.

Committee Chair Buttars adjourned the meeting at 9:50 a.m.
