Sen. Christensen called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.

1.    H.B. 60 Legislative Review of Health Insurance Mandates (J. Dunnigan)

     MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to delete in title and body H.B. 60 and replace it with
    1st Substitute H.B. 60.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. McCoy absent for the vote.




    Rep. Dunnigan explained the substitute bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

2.    H.B. 301 Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool Amendments (J. Dunnigan)

    
Rep. Dunnigan explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

3.    H.B. 133S1 Health System Reform (D. Clark)

    
Rep. Clark explained the bill.

    John T. Nielsen reported that the Governor is in support of the bill.
    
    Doug Bronson, insurance agent, spoke to the bill.

    The following spoke in support of the bill:

    MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

4.    S.B. 198 Child Support Technical Amendments (G. Bell)

    
MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to adopt the following amendment:

1.    Page 6, Lines 157 through 158 :    



             157          (c) modify a temporary
  judicial       child support order established on or before December 31,

             158      2007, if the new order is entered on or after January 1, 2008; or

2.    Page 15, Lines 444 through 447 :    

             444          (c) modify a temporary
  judicial       child support order established on or before December 31,

             445      2007, if the new order is entered on or after January 1, 2008; or
             446          [(c)] (d) modify a
  final       child support order entered on or before December 31, 2007, if the

             447      modification is made on or after January 1, 2010.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen absent for the vote.

    Sen. Bell explained the amended bill.

     MOTION: Sen. McCoy moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. McCoy moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen absent for the vote.

5.    H.B. 17 Cancer Screening and Mortality Reduction Program (P. Ray)

    
Rep. Ray explained the bill.

    Michael Siler, American Cancer Society, gave information and statistics on cancer screenings and spoke in support of the bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen absent for the vote.




6.    H.B. 45 Supported Employment Services to a Person with a Disability (R. Menlove)

    
Rep. Menlove explained the bill.

    The following spoke in support of the bill:
