Chair Niederhauser called the meeting to order at 2:19 p.m.
    
Approval of Minutes

    MOTION:
Sen. Greiner moved to approve the minutes of January 25, 2008.

    The motion passed unanimously.

1.    H.B. 52 Research Activities Tax Credits Amendments (J. Dougall)
    
    Rep. Dougall explained the bill.
    
     MOTION: Sen. Greiner moved to pass H.B. 52 out of Committee with a favorable     recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.






2.    1st Sub. H.B. 77 Personal Property Tax Amendments (J. Dougall)

    Rep. Dougall explained the bill.

    Kris Poulson, Utah County Assessor, further clarified the bill.

    Candace Daly, State Director, National Federation of Independent Business, spoke in support     of the bill.     

    MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass 1st Sub. H.B. 77 out of Committee with a     favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Waddoups moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously at 2:32 p.m.
