Chair Niederhauser called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m.
    
Approval of Minutes

    MOTION:
Sen. Goodfellow moved to approve the minutes of February 6, 2008.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Stephenson absent for the vote.

1.    H.B. 248 Amendments to Sales and Use Tax Exemption for Certain Property     Incorporated into Real Property (J. Dougall)

    Rep. Dougall explained the bill and answered questions from the Committee.

     MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to pass H.B. 248 out of Committee with a favorable     recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Stephenson absent for the vote.




2.    H.B. 251 Sales and Use Tax Revisions (J. Dougall)

    Rep. Dougall explained the bill.

    Marc B. Johnson, Commissioner, Utah State Tax Commission, spoke in support of the bill.
    
     MOTION: Sen. Greiner moved to pass H.B. 251 out of Committee with a favorable     recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Stephenson absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved that H.B. 251 be placed on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Greiner moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously at 2:14 p.m.
