Committee Chair Walker called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.

1.     S.B. 100 Motor Vehicle Dealer Disclosure Requirements Amendments (D. Eastman)

    
Sen. Eastman explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Jenkins moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Killpack and Dmitrich absent for the vote.

Sen. Jenkins assumed the Chair.

2. S.B. 115 Motor Vehicle Safety Inspection Advisory Council Amendments
    (D. Eastman)

    
Sen. Eastman explained the bill.


    Kevin Olsen, Dept. of Commerce, spoke in favor of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Killpack and Dmitrich absent for the vote.

3. S.B. 34 Confidentiality of Reports to Driver License Division (A. Christensen)

    Sen. Christensen explained the bill.

    Kim Gibb, Drivers License Division, clarified some concerns raised by the committee.

     Tammy Diaz, Transit Rider Union, requested more public transportation.

    Karmen Sanome, advocate, Salt Lake County Aging Services, spoke in support of the bill and requested other reasonable forms of transportation for older people.

     MOTION: Sen. VanTassell moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jenkins voting in opposition, and with Sens. Walker and Dmitrich absent for the vote.

Sen. Walker assumed the Chair.

4.    S.B. S.B. 0127 Underground Utilities Facilities Amendments (J. Greiner)

    Sen. Greiner explained the bill.

    Chad Sorensen, Sorensen Construction, Inc., spoke in support of the bill.
    
    The following individuals spoke against the bill:

        Mark Stanley, Salt Lake City Public Utilities
        Leland Myers, Central Davis Sewer
        Pamela Gill, Kearns Improvement District

    No action was taken on the bill.

5.    S.B. 0130 Utility Improvement District Revisions (K. VanTassell)

    Sen. Van Tassell explained the bill.



    
     MOTION: Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Dmitrich absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. VanTassell moved to adjourn.

The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Walker adjourned the meeting at 3:17 p.m.
