Committee Chair Walker called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.

Approval of Minutes

    MOTION:
Sen. VanTassell moved to approve the minutes of the February 12 , 2008
    meeting.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Killpack absent for the vote.

1.     H.B. 288 911 Committee (B. Dee)

    
Rep. Dee explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.




2.    S.B. 208 Transportation Corridor Preservation Amendments
(S. Killpack)

    
Sen. Killpack explained the bill.

    Linda Hall, Utah Department of Transportation, spoke to the bill and answered questions
    from the Committee.

    Lincoln Shurtz, Utah League of Cities and Towns, spoke in support of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

3.    H.B. 105 Transportation Infrastructure Loan Fund Amendments (Julie Fisher)

    Rep. Fisher explained the bill.

    Linda Hall, Utah Department of Transportation, answered questions from the Committee.

    Lincoln Shurtz, Utah League of Cities and Towns, and Michael Jensen, Chair, Salt Lake Regional Council spoke in support of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Killpack absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. VanTassell moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Killpack absent for the vote.

    Sen Walker adjourned the meeting at 9:05 a..m.
