Chair Madsen called the meeting to order at 4:20 p.m.

MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to approve the minutes of the February 15, 2008 meeting.

The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Killpack absent for the vote.

1.     S. B. 235, Human Remains Related Amendments, by Sen. VanTassell

    Sen. VanTassell explained S. B. 235 to the committee. Comments and questions were heard from Sens. Jones, Fife, and VanTassell.

    MOTION: Sen. Fife moved to send S. B. 235 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    MOTION: Sen. Fife moved to place S. B. 235 on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.

2.     S. B. 247, Veterans Procurement Provisions, by Sen. Fife


    Sen. Fife explained S. B. 247 to the committee. Comments and questions were heard from Sens. Madsen, Killpack and Fife.

    MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to send S. B. 247 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

3.     S. B. 264, Development Around Military Installations, by Sen. Killpack

    Sen. Killpack explained S. B. 264 to the committee.

    Sen. Jones declared a conflict of interest.

    MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to send S. B. 264 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Chair Madsen adjourned the meeting at 4:40 p.m.
