10 General Description:
11 This bill modifies the penalties provision of the Weapons Part of the Utah Criminal
12 Code regarding penalties for firearms' violations.
13 Highlighted Provisions:
14 This bill:
15 . makes it a class A misdemeanor for a violation of the criminal background check
16 provisions in Section 76-10-526 by a licensed handgun dealer; and
17 . makes certain technical changes.

26 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
27 Section 1. Section 76-10-527 is amended to read:

33 (a) requests, obtains, or seeks to obtain criminal history background information under
34 false pretenses; [
35 (b) disseminates criminal history background information[
36 (c) violates Section 76-10-526 .

41 felony of the third degree if the dealer willfully and intentionally sells or transfers a firearm in
42 violation of this part.
