10 General Description:
11 This joint resolution of the Legislature approves the appointment of John L. Fellows as
12 the Legislative General Counsel.
13 Highlighted Provisions:
14 This resolution:
15 . approves the appointment of John L. Fellows as Legislative General Counsel for a
16 six-year term.

20 Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
21 WHEREAS, pursuant to Utah Code Annotated Section 36-12-7 , the Legislative
22 Management Committee, upon recommendation of its Research and General Counsel
23 Subcommittee, has recommended the appointment of Mr. John L. Fellows as General Counsel
24 for the Utah Legislature; and
25 WHEREAS, the appointment of Mr. John L. Fellows in this position for a term of
26 office of six years commencing May 12, 2009, is subject to further approval of a majority vote
27 of both the House of Representatives and the Senate:
28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of the state of Utah that
29 the appointment of Mr. John L. Fellows as General Counsel for the Utah Legislature be

30 approved for a six-year term of office commencing May 12, 2009.
