Rep. Hunsaker called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Poulson moved to approve the minutes of February 10, 2009. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Gibson, Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

H.B. 156    Subdivision Approval Amendments (Rep. R. C. Webb)

Rep. Webb introduced and explained the bill to the Committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Webb moved to amend H.B. 156 as follows:

Page 3, Line 81: after "100" delete "-acre" and after "square" insert "acre"

The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Gibson, Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

Spoke to the bill: Adam Trupp, Utah Association of Counties

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to recommend H.B. 156 favorably as amended. The motion

passed unanimously, with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Gibson absent for the vote.

H.J.R. 5    Joint Resolution Supporting Needed Improvements in the Navajo Nation's Ability to Collect and Track Child Support Payments (Rep. C. Watkins)

Rep. Watkins introduced and explained the bill to the Committee, with the help of Tracy Graham, Deputy Director, Office of Recovery Services.

MOTION:    Rep. Black moved to adopt 1st Substitute H.J.R. 5. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Gibson absent for the vote.

Spoke to the bill: Catherine Taylor, Office of Recovery Services

MOTION:    Rep. Black moved to recommend 1 Substitute H.J.R. 5 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Gibson absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Black moved to place 1 Substitute H.J.R. 5 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Gibson absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Dunnigan moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Gibson absent for the vote.

Rep. Hunsaker adjourned the meeting at 9:08 a.m.
