Vice Chair Sandstorm called the meeting to order at 12:37 pm.

MOTION:    Representative Daw moved to approve the minutes of February 20, 2009. The motion passed unanimously.

HB0096    State Retirement System Participation for Charter Schools (Rep. C. Watkins)

Representative Watkins introduced the bill and explained its intent.

Courtney White, Director of Policy and Research, Utah Education Association, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:    Representative Daw moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Representative Duckworth absent for the vote.

HB0410    Legislator Salary Amendments (Rep. R. Bigelow)

Representative Bigelow introduced the bill and explained its intent.

MOTION:    Representative Brown moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Representatives Duckworth and Hansen voting against the motion.



MOTION:    Representative Duckworth moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 12:55 pm.
