Chair Daw called the meeting to order at 2:07 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Wallis moved to approve the minutes of the February 18, 2009 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Clark, Rep. Janice Fisher, Rep. Harper, and Rep. Holdaway absent for the vote.

H.B. 284    Smoking Ban in Motor Vehicle (Rep. F.J. Seegmiller)

Rep. Seegmiller explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Dr. Jennifer Brinton , Intermountain Pediatric Society.

S.B. 50    Restricting the Movement of a Motor Vehicle (Sen. B. Goodfellow) (Rep. B. Daw)

Sen. Goodfellow introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Wallis moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Clark, Rep. Janice Fisher, and Rep. Julie Fisher absent for the vote.

S.B. 57    Local Option Transportation Corridor Preservation Fund Amendments (Sen. R. Okerlund) (Rep. B. Dee)

Sen. Okerlund introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Menlove moved to amend the bill as follows:
