    Committee Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 9:47 a.m.



1.     S.B.105 -- Engineering and Computer Science Initiative Amendments

    Sen. Lyle Hillyard introduced the bill.

    William Sederburg, Commissioner, Utah System of Higher Education spoke in favor of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Morgan moved to pass S.B. 105 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.


2.     S.B.104 -- Higher Education Scholarship Program Amendments

    Sen. Lyle Hillyard introduced the bill.

    Commissioner Sederburg and Carrie Beckman, Program Coordinator, Utah System of Higher Education, spoke in favor of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to pass S.B.104 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Morgan moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Chair Bramble adjourned the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
