Sen. Christensen called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.
1. SB0129, Mental Health Therapist Grant and Scholarship Act Repeal (D. Liljenquist)
Sen. Liljenquist introduced the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to pass S.B. 129, Mental Health Therapist Grant and Scholarship Act Repeal, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: At the request of the sponsor, Sen. Bell moved to place S.B. 129, Mental Health Therapist Grant and Scholarship Act Repeal, on the consent calendar.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. HB0031, Utah Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survival Act (C. Wimmer)
Rep. Wimmer introduced the bill.
Mr. Evans spoke for the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to pass H.B. 31, Utah Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survival Act, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.

3. SB0087, Preferred Drug List Revisions (A. Christensen)
Sen. Christensen introduced the bill.
Mr. Hales, Mr. Nehring, and Ms. McOmber spoke for the bill. Mr. Thorup spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to amend S.B. 87, Preferred Drug List Revisions, as follows:
1. Page 2, Lines 30 through 33 :
30 (b) may include therapeutic categories of drugs that may be exempted from the drug
31 program;

and
}
32 (c) may include placing some drugs, except the drugs described in Subsection [
33 on a preferred drug list to the extent determined appropriate by the department
{
[
}

and

}
(d) notwithstanding the requirements of Part 2, Drug Utilization Review Board, shall immediately implement the prior authorization requirements for a non- preferred drug that is in the same therapeutic class as a drug that is:
(i) on the preferred drug list on the date that this act takes effect; or
(ii) added to the preferred drug list after this act takes effect.
