Chair Niederhauser called the meeting to order at 8:50 a.m.
    
Approval of Minutes

    MOTION:
Sen. Valentine moved to approve the minutes of 2/5/2009.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Romero, Stowell, and Bramble absent for the vote.

1.     HB 23S01 - Certified Tax Rate Amendments

    Rep. Fred Hunsaker introduced and explained the bill.

    The following individuals spoke to the bill: Mr. Gardner, Mr. Mortensen, and Mr. Van Tassell.


    MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to adopt HB 23S01 with a favorable recommendation

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Bramble and Stowell absent for the vote.

2.     HB 20 - Repeal of Certain Income Tax Credits and Contributions

    Rep. Julie Fisher introduced and explained the bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to adopt HB 20 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Bramble and Stowell absent for the vote.

3.     HB 28 - Personal Property Tax Amendments

    Rep. Craig Frank introduced and explained the bill.

    Mr. Gardner spoke in favor of the bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to adopt HB 28 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Bramble and Stowell absent for the vote.

4.     SB 46 - School Property Tax Equalization Amendments

    Sen. Morgan is not ready to present the bill at this time.


MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to adjourn.

Chairperson Niederhauser adjourned the meeting at 9:15 a.m.
