Sen. Bramble called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m.

Approval of Minutes

MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to approve the minutes of 2/13/2009.

The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Niederhauser, Romero, and Stowell absent for the vote.


1.    SB 186 -Amendments to State Tax Commission Penalty Provisions

    Sen. Stephenson presented and explained this bill.

    Mr. Johnson spoke in favor of this bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to adopt SB 186 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Romero and Sen. Niederhauser absent for the vote.

2.    HB 71 - Withholding Tax Amendments


    Rep. Evan Vickers presented and explained this bill.

    Mr. Johnson spoke in favor of this bill.

    MOTION:
Sen. Goodfellow moved to adopt HB 71 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Romero and Sen. Bramble absent for the vote.

    MOTION: Sen. Stowell moved that HB 71 be placed on the consent calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Romero and Sen. Bramble absent for the vote.


3.    HB 83 - Property Tax Relief Programs

    Rep. Gage Froerer presented and explained this bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to adopt HB 83 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Romero absent for the vote.


MOTION: Sen. Stowell moved to adjourn.

Chair Niederhauser adjourned the meeting at 8:55 a.m.
