Chair Madsen called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.
MOTION: Sen. Madsen moved to approve minutes of the February 13 , 2009, meeting.
The motion passed unanimously.
1. SR06 Senate Resolution Recognizing the Work Done by the League of United Latin American Citizens
Rep. Robles introduced and explained SR06.
Antonella Packard, Rhosby Barker, Sen Waddoups all spoke in favor of SR06.
Sen. Jones and Sen. Madsen spoke to SR06.
MOTION: Sen. Morgan moved to pass SR06 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. HB0218 Family Employment Program Amendments
Rep. Fisher introduced and explained HB0218.
Sen. Madsen and Mike Richardson spoke to HB0218.
Karen Silver spoke in favor of HB0218.
MOTION: Sen. Morgan moved to amend HB0218.

House Floor Amendments
2-11-2009 :
53i (ii) an explanation of why the department is proposing the change;
53j (iii) the effect of an increase or decrease in cash benefits on families; and
53k (iv) the fiscal impact of the proposed change. .H
(c) The department may use the Notice of Proposed Rule Amendment form filed with the Division of Administrative Rules as its report so long as the notice contains all the information required under Subsection (8)(b).
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved pass HB0218 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed with Sen. Madsen voting in opposition.
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to adjourn meeting.
The motion passed unanimously.
Chair Madsen adjourned the meeting at 3:00 p.m.
