             7      LONG TITLE
             8      General Description:
             9          This bill authorizes a local district to provide a credit for a fee charged by the local
             10      district.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    authorizes a local district to provide a credit for a fee charged by a local district; and
             14          .    requires a local district that provides a fee credit to provide the credit to a home
             15      owner and residential tenant.
             16      Monies Appropriated in this Bill:
             17          None
             18      Other Special Clauses:

             21      ENACTS:
             22          17B-1-645, Utah Code Annotated 1953

             24      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             25          Section 1. Section 17B-1-645 is enacted to read:
             26          17B-1-645. Residential fee credit.
             27          (1) A local district may create a fee structure under this title that permits a home owner


             28      or residential tenant to file for a fee credit for a fee charged by the local district, if the credit is
             29      based on:
             30          (a) the home owner's annual income; or
             31          (b) the residential tenant's annual income.
             32          (2) If a local district permits a person to file for a fee credit under Subsection (1), the
             33      local district shall make the credit available to:
             34          (a) a home owner; and
             35          (b) a residential tenant.
