Rep. Barrus called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.
S.J.R. 1 Escalante Heritage Hole-in-the-rock Center Joint Resolution (Sen. D. Stowell)
Sen. Stowell distributed a handout and explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Gibson moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dee, Rep. Wright, and Rep. Mathis absent for the vote.
H.C.R. 6 Stockton Bar Geologic Formation Concurrent Resolution (Rep. R. Menlove)
Rep. Menlove explained the bill to the committee, assisted by Dr. Marjorie Chan, Professor of Geology, University of Utah, and Kendall Thomas, Town of Stockton Council.

SUBSTITUTE
MOTION: Rep. Noel moved to hold the bill. The motion failed with. Rep. Mathis, Rep. Brown, Rep. Dee, Rep. Gibson, Rep. Noel, Rep. Wilcox, and Rep. Wright voted in favor of the motion.
The original motion to pass the bill out favorably failed with Rep. Barrus, Rep. Draxler, Rep Gowans, Rep. Hendrickson, Rep. Painter, Rep. Riesen, and Rep Watkins voting in favor of the motion.
H.B. 192 Renewable Energy - Methane Gas (Rep. C. Watkins)
Rep. Watkins distributed a handout and explained the bill to the committee assisted by Aaron Olsen, DTE Energy Consultant.
Todd Bingham, President of Utah Manufactures Association, spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Rep. Gibson moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep . Wilcox absent for the vote.

This bill was not considered.
MOTION: Rep. Hendrickson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously and the Chair adjourned the meeting at 3:24 p.m.
