Rep. Noel called the meeting to order at 4:40

MOTION: Rep. Wilcox moved to approve the minutes of February 19, 2010. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barrus, Rep. Fowlke, Rep. Gowans, and Rep. Herrod absent for the vote.

H.B. 121    Emergency Medical Services Act Transport Amendments (Rep. G. Hughes)

MOTION: Rep. Wilcox moved to accept HB121 1st Sub. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barrus and Rep. Herrod absent for the vote.

Rep. Hughes introduced and explained HB121 1st Sub to the committee. Questions from the committee were discussed.

MOTION: Rep. Brown moved to hold the bill. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barrus, Rep. Wilcox, and Rep. Herrod absent for the vote.

H.B. 335    Utility Related Exemptions (Rep. G. Hughes)

Rep. Hughes introduced the bill to the committee, assisted by Bob Reeder, Attorney for Kennecott. Questions from the committee were discussed.

MOTION: Rep. Wright moved to hold the bill. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barrus absent for the vote.

H.B. 456    Amendments to Department of Environmental Quality (Rep. R. Edwards)

Rep. Edwards introduced and explained the bill to the committee. Questions from the committee were discussed.

SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Rep. Chavez-Houck moved to hold the bill. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Herrod absent for the vote.

H.B. 411    Public Utility Modifications (Rep. J. Anderson)

Rep. Anderson introduced and explained the bill to the committee, assisted by Dirk Burton, representing Able Electric. Questions from the committee were discussed.

Brad Stevens, Board Member of Independent Electric Contractors, spoke for the bill.

Ken Short, Director of Capital Investment, Rocky Mountain Power, spoke to the bill.

Rep. Noel adjourned the meeting at 6:16 p.m.
