Rep. Daw called the meeting to order at 2:14 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Janice Fisher moved to approve the minutes of January 29, 2010. The         motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Clark, Rep. Harper, Rep. Last, Rep.         Mascaro, Rep. Wallis, and Rep. Julie Fisher absent for the vote.

H.B. 91    Traffic Control Signs for Bicycles (Rep. C. Moss)

Rep. Moss introduced the bill to the committee, assisted by Greg Hoole.

Spoke for the bill:    John Weis, Citizen

Spoke against the bill:    Chris Purcell, State Farm Insurance

MOTION:    Rep. Hemingway moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion failed with         Rep. Clark, Rep. Janice Fisher, Rep. Hemingway, Rep. Last, Rep. Wallis, and         Rep. Daw voting in favor. Rep. Anderson, Rep. Cosgrove, Rep. Harper, Rep.         Mascaro, Rep. Morley, and Rep. Seegmiller voted in opposition. Rep. Julie         Fisher was absent for the vote.

S.B. 82    Passenger Ropeway Systems Act Amendments ) (Sen. A. Christensen) (Rep. M. Brown)

Sen. Christensen introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Mascaro moved to pass the bill out favorably.

The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Julie Fisher absent for the vote.

H.B. 100    Heber Valley Historic Railroad Authority (Rep. K. Powell)

Rep. Powell introduced the bill to the committee.

Spoke to the bill:    Bruce Johnson, Utah State Tax Commission

MOTION:    Rep. Seegmiller moved to delete in title and body H.B. 100 and replace it with         2nd Substitute H.B. 100. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Julie Fisher         absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Seegmiller moved to amend 2nd Substitute H.B. 100 as follows:

1.    Page 3, Lines 62 through 63 :

MOTION:    Rep. Seegmiller moved to pass 2nd Substitute H.B. 100 out favorably as              amended. The motion passed unanimously.



H.B. 238    Low Speed Vehicle Amendments (Rep. J. Anderson)

This bill was not considered.

MOTION:    Rep. Janice moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
