1. 1st Sub. H.B. 114 -- Disclosure of Donations to Higher Education Insitutions
Rep. Wimmer introduced and explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to pass 1st Sub. H.B. 114 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hillyard absent for the vote.
MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to approve the minutes of the February 18, 2010 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hillyard absent for the vote.
2. H.J.R 3 -- Joint Resolution on Teacher Performance Pay
Rep. Poulson introduced and explained the resolution.
JoDee Sunberg, Executive Committee Vice President, Utah School Boards Association;
Larry Shumway, Superintendent, Utah State Office of Education; and Kim Campbell,
President, Utah Education Association; spoke in favor of the resolution.
MOTION: Sen. Morgan moved to pass H.J.R. 3 out of committee with a favorable
recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Morgan moved to place H.J.R. 3 on the Consent Calendar.
