Chair Buttars called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.
MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to approve the minutes of January 26. Motion passed unanimously with Sen. Robles absent for the vote.
1. S.B. 88 Pharmacy Practice Act Amendments Sen. Curtis Bramble introduced the bill.
Dr. Stewart, Dr. Taylor, Ms. McComber spoke in favor of the bill.
Mr. Davis spoke against the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to delete in title and body S.B. 88 and substitute in lieu thereof 1st Substitute Bill 88, "Pharmacy Practice Act Amendments."
The motion to substitute the bill passed unanimously.
Mr. Davis, Mr. Barker, Mr. Delost, and Mr. Jolley spoke against the 1st substitute.
Mr. Pignanelli, Ms. Behle and Mr. Pontious spoke in favor of the substitute bill.
Mr. Steinagel spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen made the motion to pass 1st Sub. S.B. 88 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed with Sen. Jones and Sen. Adams voting in opposition.
2. S.B. 41 Drug Utilization Review Board Amendments
MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to delete in title and body S.B.41 and substitute in lieu
thereof 1st Substitute Bill 41, "Drug Utilization Review Board Amendments."
The motion passed unanimously
Sen. Peter Knudson introduced the bill.
Mr. Morley and Mr. Hales spoke in favor of the bill.
Mr. Stewart spoke against the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to pass 1st Sub. S.B. 41 out of committee with a
favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn the meeting.
The motion passed unanimously.
Chair Buttars adjourned the meeting at 9:35 a.m.
