Chair Buttars called the meeting to order at 8:08 a.m.

     MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to approve the minutes of the February 22nd meeting.

    The minutes passed unanimously with Sen. Hinkins absent for the vote.

1.     HB0260 Children's Health Insurance Plan Simplified Renewal (M. Newbold)
    
Rep. Newbold introduced the bill.
        
    The following spoke in favor of the bill:
        Nathan Checketts
            
     MOTION: Sen. Buttars moved to pass H.B. 260 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hinkins absent for the vote.

2.     HB0299 Amendments Related to Substances Harmful to Pregnancy (R. Menlove)
    Rep. Menlove introduced the bill.

    The following spoke in favor to the bill:
        Mary Lou Emerson


     MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to delete in title and body H.B. 299 and replace in lieu thereof First Substitute H.B. 299. "Amendment Related to Substances Harmful to Pregnancy."

    The motion passes unanimously with Sen. Hinkins absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to pass First Substitute H.B. 299with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hinkins absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Buttars moved to place First Substitute H.B. 299 on the consent calendar.

    The motion passed with Sen. Hinkin absent for the vote.
    
3.     HCR009 Autism, Disabilities, and Faith Concurrent Resolution (R. Menlove)
    Rep. Menlove introduced the bill.

    The following spoke in favor of the bill:
        Laura Anderson

     MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to pass H.C.R. 9 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Buttars absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to place H.C.R. 9 on the consent calender.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Buttars absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Buttars absent for the vote.

    Sen. Christensen adjourned the meeting at 8:35 a.m.
