Committee Chair Adams called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Stowell moved to approve the minutes of February 4, 2010 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Bramble absent for the vote.
1. S.B. 61 Sales and Use Tax Exemption for a Web Search Portal (H. Stephenson)
Sen. Stephenson explained the bill.
Stan Lockhart, Utah Technology Council spoke in support of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to transmit S.B. 61 with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. S.B. 73 Sales and Use Tax Exemption Relating to Aircraft (C. Bramble)
Sen. Bramble explained the bill.
John Curtis, Mayor, Provo City spoke in support of the bill.
Leslie Oldham, citizen, spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to transmit S.B. 73 with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Stowell assumed the Committee Chair.
3. S.B. 133 Qualifications of State Tax Commissioners (J. S. Adams)
Sen. Adams explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to transmit S.B. 133 with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
4. S.B. 134 Partnership Tax Return Filing Deadlines (J. S. Adams)
Sen. Adams explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to transmit S.B. 134 with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved that S.B. 134 be placed on the Consent Calendar.
The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Adams resumed the Committee Chair.
5. 1st Sub. H.B. 219 Delinquent Property Tax Amendments (G. Froerer)
Rep. Froerer explained the bill.
