Chair Stevenson called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to approve minutes of the February 10, 2010 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Madsen and Waddoups absent for the vote.
1. S.B. 124 - Military Installation Development Authority Modifications
Sen. Stevenson relinquished the chair to Sen. Okerlund
Sen. Stevenson presented and explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to amend S.B. 124 as follows:
1. Page 14, Lines 426 through 430 :
426 (I) the land is included in a project area that will include a hotel facility for current and
427 retired military personnel at a military discount rate;

428 (II) the owner of the public or private land consents to the inclusion of the land in the
429 project area;

(III) 50 or more acres of the 150 acres was jointly owned by a municipality and a county on January 1, 2010; or

2. S.B. 169 - Navajo Revitalization Fund Amendments
Sen. Hinkins presented and explained this bill.
Mr. Harja spoke to this bill.
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to pass S.B. 169 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
3. H.C.R. 3 - Italian-American Heritage Month Concurrent Resolution
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to amend H.C.R. 3 as follows:

MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to pass 2nd Substitute H.B. 100 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
Mr. Lacey spoke in favor of this bill.
The motion passed unanimously.
The chair announced that presentation of H.J.R. 12, Climate Change Joint Resolution, would be postponed until Friday, February 19.
