8 General Description:
9 This bill creates the Intermountain Weatherization Training Fund.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This bill:
12 . creates the Intermountain Weatherization Training Fund;
13 . provides for the fund to be administered by the Division of Housing and
14 Community Development within the Department of Community and Culture;
15 . identifies revenue sources for the fund; and
16 . provides that fund money shall be used to administer, operate, maintain, and support
17 the Intermountain Weatherization Training Center.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
27 Section 1. Section 9-4-1701 is enacted to read:
28 Part 17. Intermountain Weatherization Training Fund
29 9-4-1701. Creation and administration.
30 (1) There is created a restricted special revenue fund known as the "Intermountain
31 Weatherization Training Fund.
32 (2) The Intermountain Weatherization Training Fund shall consist of:
33 (a) private contributions;
34 (b) donations or grants from public or private entities;
35 (c) fees;
36 (d) any money appropriated by the Legislature; and
37 (e) interest and earnings on fund money.
38 (3) The division shall authorize the expenditure of fund money to the Weatherization
39 Training Center for the administration, operation, maintenance, and support of the center
40 subject to:
41 (a) money available in the fund; and
42 (b) rules established under Subsection (5).
43 (4) Administrative costs of the Intermountain Weatherization Fund shall be paid from
44 the fund.
45 (5) The division shall:
46 (a) administer the money deposited in the Intermountain Weatherization Training
47 Fund;
48 (b) distribute the money in the Intermountain Weatherization Training Fund in
49 accordance with Subsection (5)(c); and
50 (c) make rules in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter S. 3, Utah .S Administrative
50a Rulemaking Act,
51 establishing:
52 (i) the procedures for awarding fund money; and
53 (ii) the procedure for the Weatherization Training Center to apply for money from the
54 Intermountain Weatherization Training Fund.
