Rep. Wright called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Arent moved to approve the minutes of February 14, 2011. The motion passed unanimously. Rep. Hughes was absent for the vote.

H.B. 183    School District Leave Policies (Rep. K. Grover)

Rep. Grover introduced the bill which amends provisions in the State System of Public Education code related to association leave.

MOTION:    Rep. Powell moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 2, Line 41 :    

             41          (2) (a) Except as provided in
{   Subsection   }        Subsections       (2)(b)        and (2)(d)       , a local school board may not allow


MOTION:    Rep. Newbold moved to pass the bill out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed. Rep. Arent, Rep. Moss, and Rep. Poulson voted in opposition to the motion.

MOTION:    Rep. Lockhart moved to adjourn at 9:56 a.m. The motion passed unanimously.
