Rep. Christensen called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.
H.B. 152 School Community Councils Amendments (Rep. B. Wright)
Rep. Wright introduced the bill which modifies provisions pertaining to the membership, selection, and operation of school community councils.
MOTION: Rep. Wright moved to delete in title and body H.B. 152 and replace it with 1st Substitute H. B. 152. The motion passed unanimously. Rep. Eliason, Rep. Newbold, and Rep. Sumsion were absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Wright moved to amend the bill as follows:

Information, and H.B. 186, Utah Code Technical Amendments, by providing
superseding technical amendments.

Section 3. Coordinating H.B. 152 with S.B. 142 and H.B. 186 -- Superseding
technical amendments.
(1) If this H.B. 152 and H.B. 186, Utah Code Technical Amendments, both pass, it is the intent of the Legislature that the amendments to Subsection 53A-1a-108(5)(e)(iii) in this bill supersede the amendments to Subsection 53A-1a-108(5)(e)(iii) in H.B. 186 when the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel prepares the Utah Code database for publication; or
(2) If this H.B. 152, H.B. 186, Utah Code Technical Amendments, and S.B. 142, Public Official Contact Information, all pass, it is the intent of the Legislature that the amendments to Subsection 53A-1a-108(5)(e)(iii) in this bill supersede the amendments to Subsection 53A-1a-108(5)(e)(iii) in H.B. 186 and S.B. 142 when the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel prepares the Utah Code database for publication.

H.B. 335 Military Survivors - Tuition Waiver Amendments (Rep. M. Morley)
Rep. Morley introduced the bill which amends provisions related to higher education tuition waivers for the dependents of certain deceased members of the military. He was assisted by Dave Buhler, Utah System of Higher Education, and Col. Scott Olson, Utah National Guard.
MOTION: Rep. Mathis moved to pass the bill out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Rep. Sumsion moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.
H.C.R. 13 Secure Rural Schools Concurrent Resolution (Rep. M. Noel)
H.C.R. 13 was not considered.
MOTION: Rep. McIff moved to adjourn at 3:03 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
