Rep. Powell called the meeting to order at 9:02 a.m.
MOTION: Rep. Sagers moved to approve the minutes of the February 3, 2011 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Chavez-Houck, Rep. Oda and Rep. Richardson absent for the vote.
1st Sub. S.J.R. 5 Joint Rules Resolution on Fiscal Note Process (Sen. W. Niederhauser) (Rep. J. Dougall)
Sen. Niederhauser explained the resolution to the committee and provided a handout on fiscal notes.
Spoke in favor of the bill: Royce Van Tassell, Vice President, Utah Taxpayers Association
Spoke to the bill: Darin Underwood, Office of Legislative Auditor General
MOTION: Rep. Vickers moved to pass the resolution with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Perry absent for the vote.
