Rep. Powell called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Galvez moved to approve the minutes of the February 10, 2011 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

S.J.R. 10    Joint Resolution Closing Orem Court Facility (Sen. J. Valentine) (Rep. V. Peterson)

Sen. Valentine explained the resolution to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Sagers moved to pass the resolution with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to place S.J.R. 10 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

H.J.R. 28    Veterans Day Joint Resolution (Rep. J. Anderson)

Rep. Anderson explained the resolution to the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill: Terry Schow, Executive Director, Utah Dept. of Veterans Affairs
             Bill Christoffersen, American Legion


MOTION:    Rep. Perry moved to pass the resolution with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

H.B. 86    Veteran's Identification on Driver License or Identification Card (Rep. G. Hughes)

Rep. Hughes presented the bill to the committee, assisted by Terry Schow, Utah Dept. of Veterans Affairs and Nannette Rolfe, Driver License Division.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Vickers moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
