Rep. Barrus called the meeting to order at 2:09 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Noel moved to approve the minutes of the February 9, 2011 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 249    Growing of Food (Rep. C. Herrod)

MOTION:    Rep. Mathis moved to replace H.B. 249 with 1st Substitute H.B. 249. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Herrod explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Noel moved to amend the bill as follows:

The motion to amend the bill passed with Rep. Draxler voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

H.C.R. 7    Concurrent Resolution Supporting Public Policies That Promote Outdoor Activities for Children (Rep. J. Draxler)

Rep. Draxler explained the resolution to the committee.
