Rep. Handy called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

Motion:    Rep. Wilcox moved to approve the minutes of February 2, 2011. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barrus, Rep. Dougall, Rep. Herrod and Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

S.B. 111    Utilities - Underground Facilities and Pipelines (Sen. S. Jenkins) (Rep. M. Morley)

Sen. Jenkins explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke to the bill:    Leland Myers, Central Davis County Sewer District
            Chris Parker, Division Director of Public Utilities

Spoke in favor of the bill: Larry Lee, Vice President of Sorensen Construction
             Joey Gilbert, Associated General Contractors

MOTION:    Rep. Wilson moved to pass S.B. 111 with a favorable motion. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Dougall and Rep. Noel absent for the vote.




S.C.R. 4    Communications Spectrum Translator System Concurrent Resolution (Sen. R. Okerlund) (Rep. K. McIff)

Sen. Okerlund explained the concurrent resolution to the committee.

Spoke to the bill: Maurie Parsons, T.V. Maintenance

Spoke in favor of the bill: Dale Zabriskie, President Utah Broadcasters Association

MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to pass S.C.R. 4 with a favorable motion. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Dougall moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Noel absent for the vote.
