Rep. Handy called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to approve the minutes of February 23, 2011. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Barrus, Rep. Herrod and Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

H.B. 385    County Jail Medical Expenses (Rep. B. Daw)

Rep. Daw explained the bill to the committee, assisted by Richard Bingham.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Dale Bench, Utah County Jail
                Arie Van De Graff, Utah Association of Counties
                Richard Bingham, Nurse Supervisor, Weber County Sheriff''s Department

MOTION:    Rep. Wilson moved to pass H.B. 385 with a favorable recommendation. The vote passed unanimously.







H.B. 332    Utility Payment Assistance (Rep. C. Wimmer)


MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to send H.B. 332 to interim study. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Herrod absent for the vote.


S.B. 250    Electronic Transmissions and Directors Actions (Sen. B. McAdams) (Rep. D. Brown)

This bill was not considered.

MOTION:    Rep. Noel moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Herrod absent for the vote. Rep. Handy adjourned the meeting at 8:54 a.m.
