Rep. Painter called the meeting to order at 4:08 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Nielson moved to approve the minutes of the February 14, 2011 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Clark, Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Froerer, Rep. Hutchings, Rep. King and Rep. Newbold absent for the vote.


H.B. 156    Property Tax Assessment (Rep. D. Pitcher)

This bill was not considered.



H.B. 82    Procedures for Claiming a Sales and Use Tax Exemption for Certain Lodging Related Purchases (Rep. T. Kiser)

MOTION:    Rep. Fisher moved to substitute H.B. 82 with 1st Sub. H.B. 82. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Clark, Rep. Hutchings and Rep. Newbold absent for the vote.

Rep. Kiser explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Fisher moved to pass H.B. 82 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Clark and Rep. Hutchings absent for the vote.


H.B. 112    Severance Tax Code Revisions (Rep. B. King)

Rep. King explained the bill to the committee, assisted by Dr. Gabriel Lozada and Michael Hogue.

MOTION:    Rep. Wimmer moved to table H.B. 112.

Rep. Froerer called for previous question. The motion failed to obtain a 2/3 vote with Rep. Briscoe,

Rep. Butterfield, Rep. Cosgrove, Rep. Duckworth and Rep. King voting in opposition.

After committee discussion, the substitute motion to table H.B. 112 passed with Rep. Briscoe, Rep. Cosgrove, Rep. Duckworth and Rep. King voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Rep. Wimmer moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. Rep. Painter adjourned the meeting at 5:56 p.m.
