Rep. Anderson called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to approve the minutes of the February 17, 2011 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Janice Fisher, Rep. Julie Fisher, Rep. Harper, Rep. Kiser, Rep. Last, and Rep. Sumsion absent for the vote.

1st Sub. S.B. 136    Boating Amendments (Sen. C. Bramble) (Rep. R. Menlove)

Sen. Bramble introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 136 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Janice Fisher, Rep. Julie Fisher, Rep. Harper, Rep. Last, and Rep. Sumsion absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Janice Fisher, Rep. Julie Fisher, Rep. Harper, Rep. Last, and Rep. Sumsion absent for the vote.

S.B. 110    Driver License Suspension Amendments (Sen. D. C. Buttars) (Rep. C. Oda)

Sen. Buttars introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to amend the bill as follows:

             79a      S. (iv) The provisions of Subsection (4)(b)(iii) do not apply to:
             79b          (A) a reckless or impaired driving violation
  or a speeding violation for exceeding the posted speed limit by 21 or more miles per hour       ;        or

{   (B) a moving traffic violation that causes or contributes to a motor vehicle traffic

             79d      accident that results in death or injury to another person or serious property damage; or

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
