Rep. Daw called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Kiser moved to approve the minutes of the February 22, 2011 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Janice Fisher, Rep. Julie Fisher, Rep. Last, and Rep. Anderson absent for the vote.

1st Sub. S.B. 139    Revocation of Motor Vehicle Registration (Sen. S. Reid) (Rep. V. Peterson)

Sen. Reid introduced the bill to the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Lynn Pace, Deputy Attorney, Salt Lake City

MOTION:    Rep. Hemingway moved to pass 1st substitute S.B. 139 with a favorable recommendation. The motion failed with Rep. Janice fisher, Rep. Handy, Rep. Hemingway, and Rep. Val Peterson voting in favor of the bill.




H.B. 444    Operation and Maintenance Needs Report for Utah Highways (Rep. Julie Fisher)

Rep. Julie Fisher introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Kiser moved to pass H.B. 444 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Sumsion absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Anderson moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Sumsion absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Anderson moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Kiser and Rep. Sumsion absent for the vote.
