Chair Valentine called the meeting to order at 4:08 p.m.

1.     S.B. 98 Securities Related Amendments (B. McAdams)

    
MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to delete in body and title S.B. 98 and replace it with
    1st Sub. S.B. 98.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Liljenquist and Urquhart absent for the vote.

    Sen. McAdams assisted by Keith Woodwell, Director, Utah Division of Securities explained     the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Van Tassell moved to transmit 1st Sub. S.B. 98 with a favorable     recommendation.    

    The motion passed unanimously.

2.     H.B. 27 Workers' Compensation Rate Filings (T. Kiser)

    
Rep. Kiser explained the bill.

    Dennis Lloyd, Senior Vice President, Workers' Compensation Fund further clarified the bill.



     MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to transmit H.B. 27 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

3.     H.B. 29 Business Entity Mergers (J. Dunnigan)

    
Rep. Dunnigan explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to transmit H.B. 29 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.    

     MOTION: Sen. VanTassell moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Chair Valentine adjourned the meeting at 4:24 p.m.
