Committee Chair Madsen called the meeting to order at 4:07 p.m.     
1.     SB104 - Probate Law Amendments (J. Valentine)

    Sen. Valentine presented the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Romero moved to pass S.B. 104, Probate Law     Amendments, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Hillyard and Sen. Waddoups absent for the vote.

2.     SB106 - Sexual Exploitation Amendments (D. Hinkins)

    
Sen. Hinkins presented the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Urquart moved to pass S.B. 104, Probate Law Amendments, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Hillyard and Sen. Waddoups absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. McAdams moved to send S.B. 104, Probate Law Amendments, to the

Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Hillyard and Sen. Waddoups absent for the vote.

3.     SB116 - Homestead Exemption Modification (S. Urquhart)

    Sen. Urquhart presented the bill.

    Mr. Trease spoke in favor of the bill.
    
    Mr. Simpson and Mr. Richards spoke in opposition to the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Urquart made a motion to move the bill to the next agenda item.

    The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Hillyard and Sen. Waddoups absent for the vote.

4.     SB39 - Children's Justice Center Program Amendments (R. Okerlund)

    Sen. Okerlund presented the bill.

    Mr. Faraway spoke in favor of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. McAdam moved to pass S.B. 39, Children's Justice Center Program Amendments (R. Okerlund) out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Hillyard and Sen. Waddoups absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. McAdams moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    The meeting adjourned at 4:52 p.m.
