Committee Chair Urquhart called the meeting to order at 2:40 p.m.     
Approval of Minutes

    MOTION:
Sen. Hillyard moved to approve the minutes of January 25 and January 26, 2011.
    
    The motion passed unanimously.

1.     HB0012 - Personal Injury Claims by Personal Representative (T. Kiser)
    

    Sen. Hillyard presented the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Hillyard made a motion to pass H.B. 12 with a favorable recommendation.


    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen absent for the vote.

2.     SB0096 - Alimony Amendments (L. Hillyard)

    
Sen. Hillyard presented the bill.

    Mr. Christensen and Ms. Guerke spoke in opposition to the bill.

    Mr. Ralphs, Ms. Grant, Ms. Skowronski, Ms. Shakespeare, Ms. Smith, Ms. Eager, Mr. Deuel, Ms. Dahl, Ms. deGaston, and Mr. Hesly spoke to the bill.

    Sen. Hillyard requested that the bill be discussed at a future meeting.

3.     HB0021 - Statutorily Required Reports Amendments (D. Ipson)

    Sen. Hillyard presented the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Hillyard made a motion to pass H.B. 21 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Hillyard made a motion to place the bill to the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    

     MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to adjourn.

    The meeting adjourned at 4:03 p.m.
