Committee Chair Okerlund called the meeting to order at 8:07 a.m.

1.    Approval of Minutes

     MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to approve the minutes of February 25, 2011.

    The motion passed unanimously.

2.    S.B. 84, Predator Control Funding

    Sen. Hinkins introduced the bill.

    The following people spoke in support of the bill:

    Jim Karpowitz, Director, UDWR
    Kyle Stephens, Deputy Commissioner, Utah Department Agriculture and Food    
    Sterling Brown, Public Policy, Utah Farm Bureau
    Miles Moretti, President, Mule Deer Foundation
    Don Peay, Sportsman, Fish and Wildlife


     MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to move to the next agenda item.

    The motion passed with Hinkins voting in opposition.


3. S.B. 184, Disposal of Electronic Waste

    Chair Okerlund allowed Sen. Hinkins to present Sen. Urquhart's bill.

    Sen. Hinkins introduced the bill. Jodi Hart, Consumer Electronic Association assisted with     the presentation.


     MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed with Sen. Hinkins voting in opposition.

    Chair Okerlund adjourned the meeting at 9:00 a.m.
