Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to approve the minutes of the February 17, 2011 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Niederhauser, Sen. Stephenson, Sen. Stowell, and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.
1. SB270 - Modifications to Sales and Use Tax (J. S. Adams)
Sen. Adams presented the bill.
Mr. Mortensen spoke in favor of the bill.
Ms. Hiatt, Mr. Sutherland, Ms. Cornia, Mr. Erickson, and Ms. Hilton spoke in opposition to the bill.
Mr. Davis spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Niederhauser moved to send S.B. 270 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed 6-2-0, with Sen. McAdams and Sen. Romero voting in opposition to the bill.
2. SB276 - Personal Property Audits (R. Okerlund)
Sen. Okerlund presented the bill.
Mr. Johnson spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Niederhauser moved to send S.B. 276 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams absent for the vote.
Sen. Niederhauser assumed the chair.
3. SB296 - Amendments to Tax Provisions (C. Bramble)
Sen. Bramble presented the bill.
Mr. Bruce Johnson and Mr. Michael Johnson spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to send S.B. 296 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams, Sen. Stowell, and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.
MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to adjourn.
